At the Eye Clinic of the University Hospital<\/a> in my hometown of Zurich, I completed the majority of my conservative ophthalmological basic training.<\/p>\n

Challenging weekend shifts in a busy emergency department taught me to keep a cool head even in stressful situations.<\/p>\n

After my residency, I worked as a senior physician in the department of Prof. Dr. med. Gerth-Kahlert<\/strong>. She sparked my passion for pediatric ophthalmology, provided me with training, and opened up the opportunity for further training in Toronto.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t

Upon completing my specialty training, I embarked on a journey to Nepal and India to master the technique of Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS).<\/p>\n

Subsequently, I spent six months residing in East Timor (Timor-Leste), where I worked at the National Hospital in the capital city of Dili as part of the East Timor Eye Program. This compact nation, nestled on a breathtakingly beautiful island, has traversed a challenging path to independence. The warmth and open-heartedness of its people left an indelible impression on me.<\/p>\n\n\n
